The platform will serve both as a resource center in its first stage but also as a matching tool to allow both young individuals and stakeholders to offer volunteering services and receive volunteering opportunities in the Western Balkans in the upcoming months.
The ROUTE WB6 Resource Center contains publications and documents on volunteering from the Western Balkans. It includes volunteering laws and regulations, resource papers, as well as the three principal documents of the project: Regional Policy Brief, Manifesto and the Ethical Codex.
In the following months, the ROUTE WB6 project will support the implementation of its Regional Volunteers Exchange Program. Hundreds of young people will challenge themselves with new experiences, travel across the region, make new friends and learn more about the local communities.
The Regional Volunteers Web Platform is established in the framework of the ROUTE WB6 project. The project is implemented across the Western Balkans 6 by a consortium led by Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) in association with Beyond Barriers, South East European Youth Network, Institute for Youth Development KULT, Lens, Youth Cultural Center Bitola, Association for Democratic Prosperity Zid and Young Researchers of Serbia. The overall objective of the project is to make young people from the region drivers of reconciliation and societal reconstruction, enabling them to apply European values, initiate and lead intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation towards socio-economic and democratic development. This initiative is supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
