PANEL DISCUSSION "REVIEW OF SOLIDARITY AND VOLUNTEERISM"
Edin Koljenović, Head of the Local Branch Office - RYCO stated that as a regional structure, efforts are being made at various levels in order to deal with issues and decisive policies concerning youth in the region. Koljenović said that the ROUTE WB6 project recognized the importance of volunteering such as bringing young people closer to the region, connecting their experience through mobility and various opportunities. He added that the project managed to successfully overcome all the circumstances caused by the current epidemiological situation and to work on designing The Regional Volunteers Exchange Program.
The panel discussion "Review of Solidarity and Volunteerism" was organized within the ROUTE WB6 project.
This project is implemented across the Western Balkans 6 by a consortium led by Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) in association with Beyond Barriers, South East European Youth Network, and Institute for Youth Development KULT, Lens, Youth Cultural Center Bitola, Association for Democratic Prosperity Zid and Young Researchers of Serbia. The overall objective of the project is to make young people from the region drivers of reconciliation and societal reconstruction, enabling them to apply European values, initiate and lead intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation towards socio-economic and democratic development. This initiative is supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The aim of the project is to raise awareness about volunteering and work on changing the volunteering policy.
During the panel discussion, the Project Coordinator from the partner organization ADP Zid in Montenegro explained the next activities they are looking forward to.
